Netsky Virus Removal
Worm.Win32.NetSky removal(safe mode not working!)?
Hi I have the worm.Win32.NetSky virus on my computer. I am trying to run in safe mode to disable files and run Antivirus Software such as Malwwarebytes and Spybot but whenever I go to safe mode I get an error message. It says I cannot continue further so I have to restart my computer. I go into normal mode but when I close the error box that says I need to scan my system my computer freezes and nothing responds. My background is then covered up by a green background and in the middle it says,”YOUR SYSTEM IS INFECTED
Please scan your system before continuing operation.”
I’ve found a lot of information on the net and I will try these manual ways to get rid of it but most of them have to do with going into safe mode. But of course, I can’t access it. Any way to get rid of some of the infection whereas I can go into safe mode? Or should I just forget about it and reformat? I don’t want to reformat just yet as I need to get my files and stuff off of there first.

download the avira rescue disc and burn it to CD then boot from it.

malwarebytes does not work properly in safe mode
if malwarebytes will not run
then go in to the malwarebytes folder
and rename the mbam.exe to XXXX.exe
then double click on it to start it up.

or you could just do the following.
start > run > then type the following in the open box.
mrt
then click on ok.
this will start the windows malicious software removal tool
which is perfectly sufficient to remove your problem.
run a full scan with it.
