PC Registry Repair

Strange problems (probably w/ explorer.exe) windows 7?

I have been having strange and super annoying problems with explorer.exe. Here are some of the problems i have been having.

My computer
amd phenom ii quad
8gb ddr3
1tb 7200rpm
ati asus 3450

I user kaspersky internet security 2011. It is the ONLY thing i have to startup.
I have tried using Registry Cleaners like Uniblue Registry Booster 2010.

1. When i go to login and type in my password nothing comes up but the default windows background.

2. It will randomly just not login or take like 2 mins to login.

What in the world can i do to fix these strange problems.? I am 90% sure it involves explorer.exe.

Slow startup can be caused by the operating system looking for something and not finding it.

When you get your system booted, click on the Start Button and right click on COMPUTER and click on Manage. Click on Event Viewer / Custom Views / Administrative Events. You will be presented with a list and I bet that there are are lot of errors. Click on each error and look in the lower panel for a description. There will also be a hyperlink for further explanation of the error and possible fixes.

Click on all errors for your last log-on and see if you can fix the things that triggered the errors.

If the errors can’t be fixed, I recommend a clean re-install of the operating system.
